Each month we feature a member of the Jamaican Women of Florida as a way for us to learn more about each other and share the stories of the powerful women who make up this wonderful organization. This month we are featured two members . We’re proud to have Sophia NS Blair, Esq. as a member and wish her continued success in all she does!
Sophia NS Blair, Esq. is a native of St. Mary, Jamaica. At the age of ten, she moved to Massachusetts and, in 2001, she moved to Florida. She is the founder of SNSB Law Firm, PLLC and Health Affixed, LLC.
She obtained her B.A. degree in Political Science with a focus in International Comparative Politics from the University of Central Florida. She also attended the University of Florida: Levin College of Law where she served as the Editor-in-Chief of the University of Florida Journal of Law and Public Policy, worked as a representative for Westlaw Student Services, and held leadership positions in several on-campus organizations including President of the Caribbean Law Students Association. Since obtaining her law degree in 2009, she has been working as a real estate and civil appeals attorney.

What motivates you?
Life motivates me. I try not to take for granted that I am living and in good health thus far.
What do you wish you knew more about?
Programming and using technology advantageously.
Who has impressed you most with what they’ve accomplished?
Michelle Obama; she appears to be sincere and good spirited despite all of her hardships and accomplishments.
What’s your favorite genre of book or movie?
I enjoy autobiographical, educational, and uplifting/spiritual books. I also prefer science fiction movies over any other genre.
What is the most heartwarming thing you’ve ever seen?
I can’t recall any specific details, but sheer unexpected acts of kindness always warm my heart.
Why JWOF?
I like the organization because the members genuinely care for each other and want to do as much as possible to uplift Jamaican women. It’s an organization with a mission and atmosphere that I can stand behind.
