Tiffani Knowles, a native of Miami, Florida, is a journalist, business owner and an adjunct professor of Communication at Barry University.

She began her career in 2000, as a news intern with The Miami Herald. As a print journalist, she covered metro news, special interest stories, and the news in the City of Miami Lakes. It was there that she developed her passion for accuracy and integrity while under the tutelage of Pulitzer-prize winning journalists.

After moving to New York in 2004, she began working as a coordinating producer for a youth television show.  Later she became a radio personality and station manager, and a voiceover artist for clients like Merriam-Webster, LifeZone Television, CROCS and Discovery Channel and also a college professor.

In 2009, Ms. Knowles founded the online news source NEWD Magazine for the artsy, multi-cultural urban twentysomething, under the multimedia and entertainment services company, Brackenson and Knowles, LLC.

Using her entrepreneurial savvy, in 2015, she and her brother co-founded Global Business Lending, a firm that provides working capital for small and medium-sized businesses in the USA and Canada. 

Tiffani’s career and entrepreneurial endeavors continue to span multiple industries.  In 2016, she and her father, Livingstone Knowles, a Bahamian immigrant, gave voice to an issue surrounding today’s political landscape. Their new book HOLA AMERICA: Guts, Grit, Grind and Further Traits in the Successful American Immigrant, chronicles 10 stories of ordinary immigrants of color who -against all odds pushed past the limits of their humanity to become great successes in the land of the free and the home of the brave.

She holds a Bachelor's degree (BA) in Broadcast Communication from Barry University, Miami, Florida; and a Master's degree in Arts and Humanities Education from New York University; and currently resides in Fort Lauderdale, Florida.

Ms. Knowles joins the Mentoring Panel at the upcoming Women’s Empowerment Conference hosted by the Jamaican Women of Florida (JWOF) on Saturday, March 23, 2019, at the Jungle Island in Miami.
